Why use a gel moisturiser? For oily/acne prone skin, you want to use a non-comedogenic moisturiser (doesn’t clog pores). For this you ideally want a non-fatty moisturiser (oil free), so a light gel-based moisturiser is preferrable, where you know the water content is high & fat content negligible.
Why even moisturise oily skin? Not moisturising the skin can make it feel tight, which triggers sebum production (makes acne worse).
Why use separate AM/PM moisturisers? There are advantages to using some active ingredients at night, and there are other ingredients which you would ideally not want to use during the day. This calls for separate formulations of moisturiser, so ingredient utilisation is optimised for each time period.
Why use Skincare by Dr. V’s gel moisturiser? The gel moisturisers from other brands are unlikely to contain the active ingredients required to reduce the 3 blemishes or be optimised for skin of colour, as they are primarily just for basic moisturisation.
